Until this last year, I travelled a lot and took numerous photos and sketches, and these continue to form the basic inspiration for my quilts. The pieces in the last two exhibitions were loosely based on a very wet day in Geneva and the colours I could see through the windscreen of my car.
I like to dye and print my own fabric when possible as this enables me to choose the colours and patterns I want. More recently, my inspiration has had to be nearer to home and I have been exploring the detail of my rural landscape.
